It's very amazing to see how children grow and change in their first year. Looking our little darling. Months ago he was posing like a sweets angel. Staring at you with such innocent and 'huh?' look. So dependent on you for everything and willing to follow you because he wasn't able to express his views well.
Fast forward just a few months later. Gosh, this kid is no longer a baby but an active and very mobile toddler. Zooming around as he likes, pointing out things he see or want you to see/take note, expressing his likes and dislikes.
So humbling to be entrusted with a child of God even though He knows we are ungodly and not as equipped as He is to bring up a child in the way of the Lord. Yet it is not only a learning journey for the child, but parents and the entire 'village' of care givers too! We learn not only about the child and parenting itself, but we learn about ourselves too. To be humbled and know that while all things are not in our control or understanding, we have a heavenly Mentor to patiently teach and guide us.
Praise the Lord!
